Organizational Research Services

Organizational Research Services (ORS) offers units an array of pre- and post assessment consultation services that assist them in identifying and implementing methods for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and integrating feedback into planning and improvement processes. Feedback methods include interviews, focus groups, and surveys. The ORS program is supported by graduate student interns enrolled in the Masters Program in the School of Communication, Information and Library Studies. Participation in ORS provides students the unique opportunity to combine the traditional graduate school experience with the application of organizational assessment beyond the classroom setting. Interest in ORS has been strong, with initial partnerships established with: the Learning Resource Centers (LRC), the Office of the Registrar, CASE, and the University Libraries. Units interested in these services should contact Joe Lopez at lopez@odl.rutgers.edu.

Research Associate Position and
Research Practicum

Who Should Apply: Students seeking a paid Research Associate* position or students seeking credit through the Research Practicum (unpaid)

Requirements: The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, independent worker with an interest in learning. He/she should also possess excellent interpersonal, diagnostic, problem-solving, teamwork, writing and planning skills. A history of excellence in academic work, an understanding of research methodology, proficiency in Microsoft Access and/or Excel programming, experience with statistical software packages such as SPSS, and a GPA of 3.0 or better are required.

Time Commitment: 150 hours a semester

Remuneration: The Research Associate is an hourly paid position. Students choosing the unpaid Practicum option will receive 3 credits for the semester.

Qualified students must submit a copy of their vitae and a transcript of their academic work to date to Joseph Lopez at the Center for Organizational Development and Leadership.
